
Halmstad offers a wide range of exciting museums, each with its own story to tell. Centrally located by the Nissan River and Norre Katts Park, you’ll find the Halland Art Museum, home to an extensive collection of Hallandish paintings. Car lovers can enjoy two remarkable collections. Behind a glass wall inside Hotel Tylösand is The Joyride Car Collection, featuring rare Ferraris owned by Per and Åsa Gessle. About a half-hour drive from Halmstad, Svedino’s Car and Aircraft Museum showcases one of Scandinavia’s largest collections of vintage cars and planes.
History enthusiasts will appreciate the Halland Military History Museum, opened in 2023, which explores Halland’s military past from the Danish–Swedish wars to World War II and the Cold War.
